Description, main components, technical characteristics of the installation






Induction processing installation with compact converter and controlled atmosphere, type CTC50K15 was designed by Prof.dr.eng. Victor Geantã and Prof.dr.eng. Ionelia Voiculescu to meet several requirements of research in ERAMET Laboratory.
Installation was executed by the company AAGES Targu-Mures and is equipped with two types of inductors that provide technological facilities following.
Equipped with flat inductor:

superficial melting;
-
brazing flat products;
-
deposition of metallic and nonmetallic powders;
-
obtaining compact layers.
Equipped with vertical circular inductor:
-
microproduction ferrous and nonferrous alloys;
-
brazing cylindrical products.

metallic support;
-
tight enclosure with controlled atmosphere and transparent visor;

flat or vertical inductor made in copper, interchangeable;

trolley for moving parts subjected to metallurgical treatments;

trolley drive system.
Static medium frequency generator converts from AC power 50 Hz in average frequency energy, for heating by induction metals and alloys.
Power generator components are cooled with water from an external equipment of generator.
The charge of generator is a parallel LC oscillating circuit, consisting of load capacitor, inductor and heating parts. Electric load circuit may also contain transformers adaptation / isolation.

Power generator is equipped with short-circuit protection and the possibility of coupling/ decoupling without disrupting other consumers.

Inside Induction Processing Installation with Compact Converter and Controlled Atmosphere type CTC50K15 comprises a trolley with mechanical displacement for movement of samples submitted for metallurgical treatment. The enclosure includes the following components:

trolley for transverse displacement piece on the guides, speed adjustment, manual positioning vertical piece;

stepping motor drive;
-
two connectors ½ " with supply side and connecting pipes and exhaust inert gas (argon) mounted on the cover.

Operating elements on the front panel
Installation is powered by a three-phase electrical network and can be switched on and off using the main switch, mounted on the left side of the electrical cabinet. Emergency stop is actuated by pressing the button (fungus) mounted on the right side of the electrical cabinet. Command, start, stop and fine tuning is performed via the buttons START, STOP, and LEFT / RIGHT or speed adjustment is done using digital potentiometer 2 bits.


Operation mode inside the work chamber
Moving trolley control is done in the following way:
-
is powered main switch;
-
by pressing START button, trolley is brought in position 0;
-
by pressing STOP button, trolley stops;
-
holding LEFT or RIGHT buttons, trolley moves in the desired direction;
-
at the end of the distance limit, due limit switches trolley stops automatically;
-
potentiometer provides a speed adjustment from 0 to 99, according to the correlation from herewith diagram.
